銚子電鉄で行く秋の犬吠崎と水郷の町小江戸・佐原ぶらり一泊二日の旅

Trip to Inubosaki(Choshi city, Chiba pref.) and Sawara (Chiba pref.)

Choshi City is located in far east area of Kanto Plain and well known especially by fishery and soy souce. Inubosaki is the eastern point of Honshu. It is open to Asian Pacific Ocean and is endowed with blue sky and sunshines.
Sawara city, a town of canals by the Tone River, flourished as the distribution center of annual tributes to the Shogunate, such as rice and commodities, with the advances of the water transportation of the Tone River. Sawara continued to develop as the center of the transportation, the economy and the culture along the Tone River Basin. So people claimed, When you want to see Edo, come to Sawara. Sawara outdoes Edo.

一週間程ぐずついていた空模様の中、奇跡的に晴れた。空気の透明度も高い。秋の雲も適当に広がりコンストラストを醸し出している。特段おこないがよいわけでもない我が家。きっとこの青空は誰か見ず知らずの方の徳のいたすところであろう。ありがたやありがたや。
あきらのお目当ては銚子電鉄。大人のお目当ては小江戸佐原。お互いを尊重しあわないと家族旅行は成り立たない。

とろんことろんこ銚子電鉄で進むと20分ぐらいで終点外川（トカワ）に着く。本当は旧型の赤い電車を期待していたのだが。

外川は漁港の町。南向きの傾斜地には碁盤目状に家々が並び、広大な太平洋に接する港には漁船が連る。

犬吠崎駅では名物の「ぬれ煎餅」が大好評。

佐原駅に到着。駅はきれいだが、駅前はゴーストタウンだった。

この小野川沿いにある旅館一蘭荘が今日の宿。朝食のみ付き3人で16000円は安い。とても綺麗で全く問題なし。

醤油屋、酒屋、油屋、漬物屋等代々引き継がれる古くからの店が川沿いに軒を連ねる。

15分ほど歩くと利根川。もはや川ではなくそれは海。あぁギター弾きてぇ。
15 minitus walk takes us to Tone-River, so wide as if it were sea.

一種異様な雰囲気の水門。いうなれば巨大ギロチン？
Floodgate assumes eccentric atmosphere.

ひそかな旅のメインイベント。ここ佐原はうなぎが有名なのだ。実は店でうなぎ食うの初めてなのよ。うわさにたがわず美味しかったです。よく朝もいけそうです。まじです。焼肉より高くつくけど。

夜は川沿いのベンチで一服。過剰なライトアップがなくて素敵。

神社では「骨董市」の準備が始まっていた。

旅館の朝食。完璧。小食のぼくには完食できることがなによりの満足感なのだ。

小野川観光船に乗る。利根川の中ノ島往復20〜30分の旅。
Ono-River sight-seeing boat. Twenty to thirty minites trip.

佐原名物しょうゆジェラート。大丈夫。食べる価値あり。美味しいよ。
Soy-source ice cream. It's ok.

来週の秋祭りに向けて山車の準備。全部で24台あるらしい。
Next week Dashi festivel will be held in Sawara. Dashi is generally float pulled on the streets at festival time, decorated with a figure of a mountain, pike, doll, bird, animal, etc.
